Ingredients: 

1. SHIMAYA Konbu Dashi No Moto

Salt, Sugars(Glucose, Sugar), Flavor Materials(Dried Kelp Powder, Kelp Extract), Dextrin/Flavor Enhancer(Amino Acid, Etc.)

2. SHIMAYA Iriko Dashi No Moto

Salt,Flavor Materials(Dried Sardine Powder, Drried Sardine Extract), Glucose,  Dextrin/Flavor Enhancer(Amino Acid, Etc.)


SHIMAYA Konbu Dashi No Moto

Using the kelp from Hokkaido, this soup stock contains no meat, just seaweed. It is the perfect base flavor for all of your Japanese cooking. Great for vegetarians.


SHIMAYA Iriko Dashi No Moto

Using the dried Sardine from Nagasaki, this soup stock is different from the normal bonito flavored stocks as it uses sardines instead. It is the perfect base flavor for all of your Japanese cooking.


Cooking direction:

  • For noodle soup use 1 stick of dashi with 1 liter of water.
  • For boiled dishes use 1/2 a stick with 600ml water.
  • Use 1/2 a stick of dashi with 4 bowls worth of rice for ochazuke.  
  • For oden use 1/2 stick of dashi with 1 liter of water. 
  • Vinegared and pickled dishes will require 1/4 stick of dashi.
