WHAT IS UNCLE CLEAN CHLORINE DIOXIDE? It is A1 grade disinfectant recommended by World Health Organization (WHO). Uncle Clean uses chlorine dioxide gas for its broad efficacy against microorganisms. It is applied in a number of different applications and industries to provide a 6-log (99.9999%) sterilization level decontamination. It is widely used as disinfectant in drinking water in North America and Europe. Uncle Clean Deodorizer & Surface Disinfectant is very effective in killing viruses (including Coronavirus & more), bacteria & fungi, and eliminating the bad smell. It is for cleaning and disinfecting all hard surfaces e.g. wood, stainless steel, fabric, plastic, carpet, tiles, glass, Formica, pet litters, toys, etc. HOW DOES CHLORINE DIOXIDE WORK? Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) acts as an oxidizing agent, which kills organisms by “stealing” electrons from cells, which breaks their molecular bonds. Bacteria, virus, fungus and other microorganism do not build up resistance like they react to other disinfectants. Additionally, because of the lower reactivity of chlorine dioxide, its antimicrobial action is retained longer in the presence of organic matter making it more effective than most other disinfectant methods at killing within dust, dirt, and other organics. IS CHLORINE DIOXIDE HARMFUL & DANGEROUS? Chlorine dioxide forms no hazardous by-products[, and is less harmful to people and equipment than other common biocides such as hydrogen peroxide and chlorine hypochlorite (bleach). Chlorine dioxide gas is non-carcinogenic, leaves no residues or waste to treat or clean up, and does not deplete the ozone layer. It can be safely vented into the atmosphere in all parts of the world.
