<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">NUTREN Glucosmart (14X2g) [Exp : Oct'22]</span><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">NUTREN® GLUCOSMART™ is made from a water extract of white mulberry leaves which contain 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ). 1-DNJ inhibits α-glucosidase (a carbohydrate-digesting enzyme) in the small intestine. This reduces the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates and restricts the rise of blood sugar. Consumption of mulberry leaf extract with sucrose, maltose, or maltodextrin has been shown to reduce the glycaemic index (GI) values of these carbohydrates.</span><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">NUTREN® GLUCOSMART™ reduces peak blood glucose and insulin by 40%. It significantly lowered glucose incremental area under the curve (iAUC) by 42% (p = 0.001) and insulin iAUC by 40% (p < 0.001).4 NUTREN® GLUCOSMART™ is also well-tolerated. In a randomised double-blind placebo-controlled study, there were no significant differences in the odds of experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms between those on NUTREN® GLUCOSMART™ and placebo.</span><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">NUTREN® GLUCOSMART™ contains the goodness of mulberry leaf extract,1 traditionally known for its intrinsic benefits.
