Product desccription : 

A gentle yet highly effective cleanser for acne that also protects the skin’s moisture barrier. This non-dehydrating formula is powered by a mindful combination of mandelic acid, which is a type of  alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) and salicylic acid, which is a type of beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) that are both commonly use in acne products. Both AHAs and BHAs work as exfoliants, but they work differently. Unlike AHAs that are water soluble and remain more on the surface providing moisture and producing collagen, BHAs are oil soluble and work beneath the surface of the skin, penetrating deep into the skin to eliminate oils and dirt in the pores. AHAs work by reducing the concentration of calcium ions that causes the shedding of skin cells at the surface, which promotes cell growth for a younger-looking skin. Compared to other AHAs, mandelic acid in this cleanser is absorbed very slowly through the skin, which makes it less irritating. Meanwhile salicylic acid has extra antibacterial actions that are helpful to treat breakouts and as a derivative of Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), salicylic acid has a similar anti-inflammatory effect on skin. Another hydroxy acid in this cleanser is gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) that is gentle on the skin with anti-aging and moisturising  benefits. 

This beautiful blend of hydroxy acids is also mixed with honey and tea tree essential oil that contain powerful anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which help to kill the acne-causing bacteria and prevent further bacteria growth while calming red and irritated skin. Definitely a great cleanser for flawless and youthful skin!
