FIBARO Roller Shutter 3 is a new version of the radio-controller based on Z-Wave 5 technology. It works with motorized roller blinds, venetian blinds, awnings and gates. The Roller Shutter 3 is powered by a single-phase AC and provides precise positioning of blinds, awnings or gates so they can be set to the position you choose. The module is also equipped with a power metering feature when used with a FIBARO Home Center.

Compatible with any Z-Wave or Z-Wave+ Controller,
Supports Z-Wave network Security Modes: S0 with AES-128 encryption and S2 Authenticated with PRNG-based encryption,
To be installed with roller blind motors with electronic or mechanical limit switches,
Advanced microprocessor control,
Active power and energy metering functionality,
Works with various types of switches – momentary, toggle and dedicated roller blind switches,
To be installed in wall switch boxes.

Power and energy consumption
The device allows for the active power and energy consumption monitoring. Data is sent to the main Z-Wave controller.

Measuring is carried out by the most advanced micro-controller technology, assuring maximum accuracy and precision (+/- 1% for loads 10W-1000W).

Electric active power – power that energy receiver is changing into a work and heat. The unit of active power is Watt [W].

Electric energy – energy consumed by a device through a time period. Consumers of electricity in households are billed by suppliers on the basis of active power used in given unit of time. Most commonly measured in kilowatt-hour [kWh]. One kilowatt-hour is equal to one kilowatt of power consumed over period of one hour,
1kWh = 1000Wh.

Full compatibility
With dimensions of 37mm x 42mm x 17mm Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 is an extremely small module, which will easily fit into controlled devices controller's housing. Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 allows for precise positioning of an electric roller blind, and in case of a venetian blind, precise positioning of slats.

Perfect Calibration
Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 controller requires a calibration to work with any given motor. Implemented limit switches calibration mechanism allows for very accurate definition of a roller blind position in relation to limit switches, or a venetian blind slats position. Thanks to the calibration, Fibaro System precisely knows how the blinds are positioned and whether venetian blinds are open or closed. This prevents the System from inaccurate interpretation of closed / open status.

Safe Garage Exit
When using a Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 to control an electric garage gate, you can use the pause function. Pause function allows for closing the gate automatically, after predefined time period. You can safely exit the garage without bothering to close it and thus protecting it from unwanted visitors
