Product Description of Nippon Paint 5L - EA4 Finish (High Performance Heavy Duty) + Hardener [Mountain Meadow 2040B70G]

Nippon EA4 Finish is a two-pack amine-adduct cured epoxy finish. It is a hard-wearing, chemical-resistant finish for industrial floors and steel structures and provides excellent resistance to abrasion. It is also available in anti-skid type. This product is ideal for interior concrete or water proof rendered floors which are intended for heavy industrial and domestic use. Also designed for application on masonry, ferrous, non-ferrous metal and wood surface. Is has a glossy and smooth finish suitable for use in areas subject to high level of abrasion and aggressive chemicals with ease of maintenance and cleaning. It is recommended for protection of most factories with chemical, industrial and petrochemical environment like oil refineries, food and beverage plants, laboratories and hospitals.

Excellent adhesion on correctly prepared, cleaned and dry surface
Dry service temperature range up to 100’C

Substrate Suitability
- For use on interior steel works and cement surface where chemical, oil and abrasion resistant coating is required

Steel Surface
- The primed surface must be dry and free from an abrasive residues, dirt, oil and grease and other contaminants prior to painting

Concrete Surface
- All concrete should be clean, dry (dry out thoroughly to a moisture content < 8% and pH9) and free from loose dirt, laitance, efflorescence, oil, grease, wax and foreign matter. Etch the surface with 5% HCL solution for 3-5 minutes and flush off thoroughly to remove acid residue and salt deposits that may have formed after etching. The surface should be clean and dry prior painting.

Drying Time at 25’C - 30’C
Dry touch:2-3 hours
Dry to handle: 16 hours
Dry to overcoat: Minimum 16 hours.
Theoretical Coverage: 10.2 meter square per liter per coat
No. Of Coats: 1-3 coats
Mixing Ratio: 4 part base by volume, 1 part hardener by volume
Pot Life at 25’C-30’C: 6-8 hours after mixing

Direction for Use
Stir well before use
Application can be by brush, roller or spray
For best result, thinning is not required. If necessary, thin up to maximum 5%.
Clean up all equipment with thinner immediately after use.
