Tongkat Ali, Scientific Name : Eurycoma longifolia is a tall, slender evergreen shrub-tree commonly found in Southeast Asia, in particular Malaysia.
The plant is a medium-sized slender shrub that can reach 10 meters in height, and is often unbranched.

The root of the plant has been used in folk medicine of the South East Asian region, and in modern times has common use as supplements, as well as food and drink additives.

The root of the plant is boiled in water, and the water is consumed as a health tonic for post-partum recovery, as an aphrodisiac, as well as the relief of fever, intestinal worms, dysentery, diarrhoea, indigestion and jaundice.

In 2012, a study that consisted of seventy-six men, only 35% of whom had normal testosterone levels, was reported that after one month of supplementing with Tongkat Ali, the number of men in the group with normal testosterone levels jumped to over 90%.The root contains compounds that have repeatedly been shown in animal studies to stimulate libido, promote semen quality, and even support muscle growth.

Some evidence suggests that taking a clinically proven Eurycoma longifolia supplement (Holisom Tongkat Ali Extract by Amphamo Malaysia) can improve the quality and concentration of sperm in infertile men.
