Latin Name：Rheum palmatum（tanguticum）

English Name：Palmleaf rhubarb，palmleaved rhubarb，sorrel rhubarb.

Family & Genus：Polygonaceae，Rheum.

Pharmacology：Catharsis，bile-draining，anti-hepatic fibrosis，anti-gastric & duodenal ulcers，anti-bacterial，anti-fungal，anti-viral，anti-inflammatory，hemostatic，hypolipidemic，anti-tumor.

Properties：Bitter taste. Cold in nature. 

Benefits：Purge heat & induce bowel movement，cooling blood & detoxif，remove blood stasis & dredging meridians.

Indications：

·Sore throat

·Swollen eyes

·Traumatic injury

·Carbuncles & furuncles

·Dampness-heat jaundice 

·Dyspeptic & abdominal pain

·Appendicitis & abdominal pain

·Amenorrhea due to stasis of blood

·Constipation induced by excess heat 

·Diarrhea with sensation of incomplete defecation

·Epistaxis & hematemesis during menstruation due to blood heat

*Those with weak digestive system，qi & blood deficiency have to be cautious with consumption.


Preparation：

·1 sachets tea bag each time. One or twice daily. 

·Steep a tea bag in 200ml boiled water for 10 minutes. 

·Each tea bag may rebrewed 2-3 times，or until light taste.

药理作用：导泻、利胆、止血、抗菌、抗炎、抗真菌、抗病毒、降血脂、抗肿瘤、抗肝纤维化、抗胃和十二指肠溃疡。

性味：味苦；性寒。

功能：泻热通肠，凉血解毒，逐瘀通经。

适用于：

·目赤

·咽肿

·实热便秘

·积滞腹痛

·泻痢不爽

·湿热黄疽

·血热吐衄

·肠痈腹痛

·痈肿疔疮

·瘀血经闭

·跌扑损伤

*脾胃虚寒与血虚气弱者慎服。


用法：

·每次一包茶袋，每日1包～2包。

·将茶袋浸泡于200毫升沸水，10分钟后即可饮用。

·每个茶袋可重复冲泡2-3次，或直至淡味为止。
