The reductions are significant—the aluminum main shaft is 30% lighter than stainless steel, the aluminum pinion gear 60% lighter than brass, the carbon fiber handle 21% lighter than aluminum. In addition, the drag has been upgraded to a sealed system to ensure ultimate smoothness in the heat of battle, and the larger models now have higher gear ratios and retrieve rates. Meanwhile, Pflueger has kept the features that gave the President its affordable-performance reputation: the tough graphite body and rotor with aluminum bail wire, the sweet 10-bearing system, the braid-ready spool that requires no backing, the rosewood handle knob. And you'll love the all-new laser-engraved graphics!
