INSTALLATION: The orcatechnic automatic plunger is a completely watertight apparatus which has been carefully designed to be placed either vertically or horizontally in the water. If it is placed vertically with its head out of the water, the water level must reach at least the height of the ''MINI'' mark. Nevertheless, a better result is obtained by placing it horizontally or at an angle of 45 degree. SETTING: To set the apparatus, pinch the rubber teat protuding from the head between index finger and thumb. In this way, the regulating rod inside can be manipulated. Turn gently in either direction and then release the pressure. Carry out the same procedure as often as necessary in order to bring the temperature figure desired into position opposite the arrow. After each setting, sufficient time should be allowed for the temperature to become constant throughout the aquarium (minimum 1 hour). Note that the figures appearing on the dial only give an indication of the setting, and not an exact temperature, as this may vary according to the power of the apparatus and the dimensions and shape of the aquarium. It is therefore necessary to adjust the exact temperature desired with the aid of a good thermometer. The temperature settings are restricted to between 18 and 32 degree by a stop on the dial. Do not try to force the regulating rod to go below 18 or above 32 degree, the only result would be damage to the thermostat. CONNECTION: Do not connect the apparatus when it is out of water. If you wish to take it out of the water, it should be unplugged at least 15 minutes prior to this, to allow it to cool down. ATTENTION: Disconnect all apparatus placed in the aquarium from the electrical supply before putting your hands into the water.
