Ceylon Spinach is a vigorous climbing perennial vine, growing anything from 10-20 ft 3-6 m). The stems can become very thick. The leaves are thick and glossy, and are often described as fleshy or rubbery, usually 4-5 in (10-12.5 cm) wide and about the same length. Leaves and stalks all have a very pleasant mild spinach flavour, at their best when young and fresh looking. They are very nutritious, being a rich source of minerals and vitamins.
